Something Different
There's something very strange
that's happening right now.
And I am wondering what it is,
what made this change and how.
It is so very new
I sense it every where,
and I get so excited
that I feel this urge to share.
There's something different today,
extremely different.
And what's so special
I can't say
I'm unable to see.
Though the animals downtown
birds in ev'ry tree
are telling it to me,
whispering to me,
whisp'ring wee-pwee-pwee-oo to me.
But all those funny things they say
don't make me see,
what makes this very day so different.
I wonder why I fear,
this what has just begun:
it has to do with hidden tears,
with laughter, love and fun.
I don't know what I feel,
not even what I see.
So I listen to those animals
and what they're telling me.
